Game will not launch

Black screen while joining
Confirm every player has the same patch, restart Steam, recreate the lobby, reinvite, and test a new temporary save without overwriting the main one.
Steam relay text is red
Patch 1.0.9 added relay diagnostics. Check Steam online status, firewall/VPN changes and host connectivity before changing save files.
Controller icons are wrong
Update beyond Patch 1.0.8, reconnect the controller, confirm Steam Input settings and reopen the game.
Progress seems missing
Do not delete or overwrite files. Return to the original host/save, use the in-game Save/Main Menu flow, and back up the current file before deeper recovery steps.
A dropped item vanished
Patch 1.0.10 persists up to 64 dropped items and prioritizes important categories; excess or older-build clutter may not survive. Store route-critical objects deliberately.
