The main route runs Lighthouse → Forest → Desert → Rocks → Volcano. Each island asks you to improve the fishing-and-combat loop, complete local quests, defeat or hand in the key encounter and unlock the next leg of travel.
Main island order
Treat each island as a self-contained checklist. Explore first, speak to every obvious NPC, identify the local catch pool, then decide which shop upgrade removes the next gate. Do not sail on with an unresolved named item unless you know it belongs to a later quest.
- Lighthouse — learn the loop, stabilize the economy and clear Spider Crab.
- Forest — widen your toolkit and prepare for Giant Piranha.
- Desert — complete the endangered-creature chain and fight Pufferfish.
- Rocks — handle harder water, later gear, Tuna and Albatross pressure.
- Volcano — bring a complete loadout for the final-island quest chains.
Lighthouse: learn, sell, arm up
Use the opening island to make fishing automatic. Check the shop, learn where catches are sold, follow the beer-can and early combat clues, and keep a cash buffer. The island ends by testing both fishing knowledge and ground combat.
Before departure, verify that everyone has saved, important items are aboard and the boat objective is actually complete.
Forest: quest items matter
The second island adds more creatures and a less forgiving boss. Search the whole playable shoreline and speak to every quest giver before selling unusual catches. Giant Piranha rewards ranged damage, clean movement and a prepared arena.
Desert: endangered creature to Pufferfish
On the third island, the swimmer in yellow floaties starts a bait chain tied to an endangered creature. Finish that chain before committing resources to Pufferfish. Automatic fire and constant movement are safer than planting your feet for a slow shot.

Rocks and Volcano: protect the run
Later islands assume you already understand the economy. Bring spare ammunition, keep at least one controllable weapon and use the boat as a logistics point rather than scattering items across the map.
Take a completion pass before the final push: revisit Fishipedia gaps, outstanding quests and easy achievements while travel routes are open.
Post-route completion sweep
A finished story route is not a complete file. Rare variants, named creature entries, weapon upgrades, hidden achievements and optional bosses form the longer tail. Work island by island so every missing entry has a clear search area.
